Implementing web sites is complex, especially for large organizations.  Whether it is a brand-new implementation, redesign, or migration, you need to keep track of many moving parts.  You probably have many of the required capabilities amongst your staff and partners, but do you have an overall plan in place considering the vision, staffing, product management, processes, and migration quality?

We will baseline and then track your migration along a variety of dimensions, consolidating the overall status in a single-page dashboard.  The dashboard will highlight overall risks and the status of the current step you are in.  For as little as ten hours a month, we can provide guidance during a migration.  We can also conduct a one-time review or develop migration plans. 

Steps to Our Process

Depending on where you are in your project, contact us about guiding you through these steps:

1. Assess. The first step is to assess where you are in your migration efforts. This will include reviewing existing plans, speaking with stakeholders, and evaluating the risks to your project. As with all of our steps, this will be evaluated against what we consider an ideal process.
2. Plan. Based on the assessment, we can either write a practical migration plan from scratch or help tweak your existing plans. Note that we are not talking about Gannt charts here, although we assume someone on your team is capable driving the project on a day to day basis. This is a high level plan which makes sure that key areas such as preparation, proof of concept, piloting, migrating, tracking, and migration quality are sufficiently planned for.
3. Guide. We are not interested in writing impressive reports / plans that just sit on a shelf, but on the success of your implementation. As such, we will guide you against your plans. In particular, we'll track against the original plan, and help steer when issues arise. We will keep a monthly dashboard which objectively looks at your current high risks, immediate next steps, and where you are relative to where you want to be (based on metrics defined in the planning stage).

We are pragmatic, so you may be at a point in your project where all steps cannot be completed. We can customize the process for your particular project.
